ATA World Ceremony to Present Global martial Arts Show
The American Taekwondo Association (ATA) is gearing up for its annual World Expo in Central Arkansas, and the highlight of that event each year is the World Ceremony, a production of some of the most dynamic martial arts from across the globe.
Verizon Arena will be transformed into an ATA martial arts super-show with performances and story-telling that will guide the audience through Taekwondo history while also showcasing the most modern, extreme elements of tricking and weaponry.
The theme for this year’s World Ceremony is “ATA Strong Worldwide” and will feature international competitors, Masters and martial arts pioneers from all corners of the globe. History will be celebrated through the traditional Master’s Ceremony, honoring and recognizing the life-long journeys of Songahm Masters. The team competition will feature the top scoring teams who competed throughout the year and earned a spot to demonstrate their high-flying stunts and performance martial arts in a quest to be named first in the world.
This year, ATA is introducing a new competition- the Worldwide Sparring Competition. Audience members will be thrilled to see sparring with competitors from around the world representing the countries such as Canada, Portugal, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, and the Netherlands. The 2012 Pan-Am Champion, Team USA, will put their speed and accuracy to the test as they vie for the first ever Worldwide Champion title!
Grand Master In Ho Lee says, “There is something for everyone at the World Ceremony. This is a perfect family event! And this year, with the redesigned stage for enhanced viewing, all audience members are going to be engaged in the action like never before.”
